JOE ACCARIA

Musical Director

A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with an Honours Music and Education degree in contemporary and orchestral percussion, Joe has worked extensively worldwide as a performer, composer, music producer and music director.

Music Direction credits include Dein Perry’s Tap Dogs – 2005 World Tour, London West End 2009, Europe, Asia, Australia, South Africa 2010-2015. David Campbell – Swing Sessions I & II, Good Lovin’, Broadway and Let’s Go Tours. Human Nature – Australia Motown Tours 2006-2008 and Las Vegas season 2009, Christmas and Jukebox Tours 2013 & 2015. iOTA – Young Hard and Solo Sydney Festival 2012, B-Girl Sydney Opera House 2015. Sydney New Year’s Eve Lord Mayor’s party at the Opera House 2011 – 2014. Velvet – Adelaide Fringe, Edinburgh Fringe Festival and Sydney Opera House 2015.

Composition credits include works for – 2000 Sydney Olympic Opening Ceremony, 2001 Bledisloe Cup, 2010 FIFA World Cup, 2013 & 2014 NRL Grand Finals, Tap Dogs New Year’s Eve 2014 and 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup. Joe also performed in the Helpmann Award winning Smoke & Mirrors for Sydney Festival, Edinburgh Fringe and Auckland Arts Festival. Written and directed by Craig Ilott, Joe was a co recipient of the award for Best Original Score with iOTA.

Joe is currently Music director and music producer on VELVET featuring Marcia Hines directed by Craig Ilott and is composing the all-female percussion stage show – DrummerQueens – writing with Director, Nigel Turner-Carroll. Joe has also performed and recorded with Andrea Bocelli, Smokey Robinson, Ronan Keating, Robbie Williams, Cyndi Lauper, Anthony Warlow, Tina Arena, Wendy Matthews, Yothu Yindi and Jimmy Barnes.

RON HARYANTO

Vocals

Artist, singer-songwriter and entertainer Ron E Jones is best known for his dynamic performances and energetic stage presence. His distinct sound and writing has been sought after from artists around the world. A mainstay in Sydney’s music scene as a frontman, he has graced stages at festivals and venues throughout Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Europe.

His artist career saw him achieve #1 singles, heavy radio play and MTV Asia rotation throughout Malaysia and Indonesia. Meanwhile back home in Australia he has spent an equal amount of time working as a successful songwriter, which has lead to a number of ARIA Club chart #1 singles and top ten tracks and even a feature on an ARIA award nominated album.

Most notably Jones co-wrote Marcia Hines’s 2014 album “Amazing”, as well as being invited as the opening act for her Amazing tour and joining her band.
Artists he has worked and collaborated with include; Lil John, Shannon Noll, Danni Minogue, Justice Crew, NZ boy band Titanium, Joe Moore and Prinnie Stephens and many more.

CHRIS LUDER

Vocals

Hailing from Queensland in Australia’s tropical north, Chris has had a colourful history in the music biz. Coming from a strong soul and RnB background, he rose to prominence touring internationally with supergroup, The Wiggles, as a dancer and understudy.

He further came into public view as a finalist on the 3rd season of Australian Idol where he was noted for his dynamic performance and vocal expertise. Since then he has established himself as a formidable talent and mainstay of the Sydney live band and sound system scene, appearing on Channel V and performing regularly with international renowned EDM brand, HedKandi in Australia and abroad. When not tearing up the stage with his infectious brand of rhythm and energy, he songwrites and produces for many other Australian acts.

STEF FURNARI

Percussion, guitar and vocals

Stef has played with many tribute bands such as the Australian Pink Show, Katy Perry Show and Lady Gaga shows. She plays with various bands in the Sydney music circuit and plays alongside many of Sydney’s greatest artists and musicians.

Stef has performed on the hit television show The X factor Australia as a drummer & bass player supporting the contestants on the live shows. She has also starred in short films and music videos for various types of artists.

Stef has also performed for the NRL grand final in 2013 for Ricky Martin and 2014 alongside Sarah McLeod and the DrummerQueens. The DrummerQueens is a new theatrical percussion show that Stef has been performing in for 4 years. Stef now performs live with Australia’s great Marcia Hines as a percussionist.

ALYSA PORTELLI

Percussion

Alysa is a drummer/percussionist based in Sydney, Australia. She studied Contemporary Performance at the Australian Institute of Music; graduating in 2012. Her recent shows include; Wicked (Crossroads Live – Sydney Lyric Theatre 2023/2024); Mamma Mia (Louise Withers, Michael Coppel & Linda Bewicks – Sydney Lyric Theatre 2023); Tick tick… BOOM (Storyboard Entertainment – Sydney Lyric Theatre 2023); Moulin Rouge! (Global Creatures- Capitol Theatre 2022/2023); SIX! (Louise Withers, Michael Coppel & Linda Bewicks – Sydney Opera House 2021/2022); Fun Home (Sydney Theatre Company – Roslyn Packer Theatre 2021); Caroline or Change (Hayes Theatre Co – Hayes Theatre 2019); The Dismissal (Squabbalogic Independent Music Theatre Inc – Seymour Centre 2019); In The Heights (Blue Saint Productions- Sydney Opera House 2019 and Hayes Theatre 2018); Hear Me Roar (Trevor Ashley – Sydney Opera House 2018).

 

Alysa has also toured with stage shows; Burn The Floor (China 2016, Melbourne 2017, Norwegian Getaway Cruise Ship 2013-2016) and Dein Perry’s Tap Dogs on their 2012 Australian Tour.

TOM OLIVER

Vocals

Tom is an Australian actor, singer, presenter & producer. He’s played lead roles in every Australian State, New Zealand, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, and on international waters around the USA, Mexico, Caribbean & Bahamas. He is a proud member of the Marcia Hines Band and has credits including VELVET, Rolling Thunder Vietnam, RENT and A Day On The Green.

His recording of ‘I Go To Rio’ was used during the Rio Olympics national TV broadcast.

NEDA RAHMANI

Percussion

Neda was born in Tehran to a Persian father and a Mauritian mother.  She arrived in Australia as a two year old refugee and has grown up the quintessential self-made Aussie musician and bedrock advocate of her music and community.  Inspired by the Queens of Carnival, her original music is a powerful and loving reveal of songs written for generous live concerts.  The rhythms of West Africa and Brazil provide the traditions and movement of the high impact musical and team performance that is demonstrated at every Neda performance. 

She has a demonstrated history of working on both sides of the entertainment, corporate, media and film industries.  Neda is also the owner of Goodworthy Studios and has a strong media and communications presence in stage shows, media productions and the festival touring scene.
